Today's market update revealed that the local bourse failed to maintain its momentum, as losses in two equities brought the 3-day winning streak to an end. The GSE-Composite Index declined by a marginal 0.01% from 1,03058 points to 1,030.47 points.
The GSE-Financial Stock Index however, picked up 0.51points to close at 868.76 points, stretching its winning streak to four successive sessions.
Trade volume and value declined by 58.15% and 19.29% respectively, as 0.07 million shares were exchanged for a sum of GHS0.20 million. SG-SSB dominated in terms of volume for with 29.83% of the volume traded, while Standard Chartered Bank, SCB trades accounted for 60.99% of the turnover.
There were two gainers, SIC Insurance Co. and TOTAL Petroleum, and two losers, Benso Oil Palm Plantation, BOPP and Ghana Oil, GOIL.
