Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Ltd (AYRTN) appoints new Managing Director
AYRTN announces the appointment of Mr. Daniel Appeagyei
Kissi as the Managing Director of the Company effective December 1, 2012. He replaces Mr. Sam Adjepong.
Mr. Kissi attended Achimota Secondary School and studied
Mechanical Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and
Technology in Kumasi.
He joined Unilever in 1990 as a Management Trainee and rose
through the ranks to become Manufacturing Excellence Director of Unilever South
Africa. He held various leadership
positions in Unilever in different countries, namely Ghana, Kenya and South
Africa, in addition to a Regional Director role with responsibility across
Africa, Middle East and Turkey Region.

Golden Star Resources (GSR) gold output in Ghana mines up 12% in 2012
Golden Star Resources, GSR, today announced preliminary 2012 fourth quarter and full year production results for its Bogoso/Prestea operations.
Gold production in the fourth quarter of 2012 was up 31%, from 70,811 ounces in 2011 to 92,614 ounces,
15% increase over third quarter 2012 gold production of 80,826 ounces.
For 2012, GSR produced and poured 336,348 ounces of gold, of which 331,278 ounces were sold, representing a 12% increase over 301,120 ounces produced in 2011.
